MILNERS' Type 'B' Lock The type B lock is the one most often encountered but a number of variations within this type have been noted. The 7 lever type is normal but with a variety of variations in design, some locks had a separator plate for the lever pack, 7, 8 and 9 lever versions have been found. Once Milner started to manufacture their own locks in 1889 a system of prefix letters identify the year of manufacture.
